Project "Elected Official Accountability"
On May 6th, I sent District 67 Rep. Dennis Keene (D) this message:
Hello. I tried contacting you through this website back in December. I haven't tried again because I have been building a website and now have it published. I am new to making social and political changes but one thing I am looking to make happen is this: I would like a flier delivered to my house once each quarter with every elected official that influences me or is in my district, etc, and a URL link to their homepage. I would like to be able to enter their URL and see the following information:
- The platform and promises they made when running for office.
- What they have actually done while in office.
These 2 items to be updated each quarter and a flier to be sent to each of the constituents in the district, county, etc. I hope this makes sense. Please call or email me if you need more info or to let me know what steps I could possibly take to get this done as I'm posting my progress and the steps I'm taking on my website. I realize that the email I sent is not very eloquent but I think it warrants a response, yet I have not received a response as of May 16th, 2008. I will try emailing him again but if you know of a better route for me to take, please contact me.
I will continue to update my progress and any suggestions my readers may have.
