An Attempt to Have Accountability in Politics

Who is your District Representative?

Do you pay taxes?

If you pay taxes, you should know who represents you. I go as far as to say that if you pay taxes, the people that represent you should tell YOU who they are! Not only that, they should send you a quarterly flier with their name and a URL to their homepage. On that homepage should be a list of what platform they ran on, what promises they made before getting elected, and then what they’ve actually done while in office!

Well that’s what I’m trying to get done and you can follow my progress on the Project “Elected Official Accountability” page of this website. You can view other projects I’ve completed and what I’m planning on pursuing in the future on the projects page as well.

I believe that everyone is interested in what’s happening in their community and what their tax dollars are being used for, however, who has the time to investigate these issues? If you read my post about why young people are scared of tying the knot, you can get a sense about how our culture is changing and people are barely finding time enough for their own families, let alone finding time to make changes in their community!

That’s where I come in. I’m fighting for everyone that doesn’t have time for these matters. If you’re reading this post, you obviously care about this issue, however, you just may not have the time to do anything about it! I want to bring the information to the people instead of letting politicians hide behind red tape, and that’s why I’ve started this project.

I’m sure this project will take a while so I am going to be looking to make other smaller changes in the meantime if I can find time. Hopefully as this site grows and I get more and more donations, I can continue to devote more time to these projects and maybe even donate to people like you to help me!

Help me change the world.
