Volunteer Organization
I am working with someone in the Cincinnati area in order to develop a volunteer organization (or something similar) and website. I don’t have the details as of yet but once the site is built and I have more information I’ll be posting the name of the site and url on a blog post and have a link to the site on the home page of this website.
Why are we doing this?
I had a discussion with the future co-founder of the “organization” and she gave me some very good insight on how to be more effective with my efforts (though I was kind of heading that way, she has the knowledge and smarts to help implement the idea). Fortunately she has much more insight and knowledge about volunteering and how to go about doing stuff like that so she is going to be a great asset for the implementation of the idea. I am very excited about the possibilities.
She basically helped show me that I need to focus my efforts on a particular niche in order to be effective. This website, Conservatives and Normals, is too broad and I don’t really have a focus, I just talk about random social and political topics and sometimes just random thoughts! By focusing our efforts on a particular niche, we believe that we will get more people involved around Cincinnati (including ourselves). Hopefully we will be able to explore the different opportunities for volunteering around Cincinnati in the coming weeks, build a website, and have a good start within the next couple months, but it could take longer. So for the few people that are currently reading this blog, and you live around Cincinnati, please bookmark this website and check back periodically or add me to your RSS Feed so that you can get the details about the organization or “club” or whatever you want to call it that is soon to be built.
I will of course keep this website live because I love to give my opinion on various topics and I’ve had a few good responses from this website in only the few short months that it’s been live. There’s at least 2 or 3 people out there that find my posts interesting!
