I’m Proud to be a Salesman

How Salespeople make the world go ’round

What do you think of when you think of a “Salesman?” Do you think of the fast talking used car salesman with the plaid suit and slicked back hair? Maybe you think of the door-to-door salespeople that have a suitcase with sample products that use “revolutionary” new technology that “has been kept a secret,” until now.

Change your perception

What I want people to do is to start thinking about sales as what it is: the profession that turns the wheels of industry. When Thomas Edison invented the light bulb, nobody was beating down his door asking him to install such a device. As a matter of fact, he was ridiculed and made fun of. He had to sell the idea of the light bulb which was a long and arduous sales cycle for him, but aren’t you glad he sold the idea? Well, maybe some naturalists aren’t too happy about that! :-)

That chair your sitting on had to be sold to the business you bought it from and then to you. People thought that computers would never be very popular… but a salesman sold the idea that if they could make them smaller and affordable, people would buy them. I think he was right.

Everything you can see or use had to be sold. Every product and service started out as an idea in someones head, and then was brought to the market by salespeople. I am not ashamed to be a salesperson. I make cold calls every day offering my services. Do the people I call need my services? Maybe not. Maybe they don’t know they need my services yet. It takes a salesperson to fulfill the needs of people that don’t realize they have the need! My hat goes off to salespeople; don’t ever be offended if someone says they don’t like salespeople. Just imagine them donning some form of animal hide as clothing because that’s what they’d be wearing if it weren’t for salespeople.

Illegal Immigrants

July 22nd, 2008

Are your papers up to date?

If your papers are not up to date, be on the lookout for this guy:

Lou Dobbs

Now don’t get me wrong, I like how Lou shows outrage at some of our absurd policies and corporations carelessness, almost constantly, but his outrage can be outrageous at times.

I respect people that come to our country illegally. These people are just trying to provide a better life for their families and it also serves as a wakeup to some of us that we have it pretty good here in this country. Also, I do believe that if someone is here illegally and they commit a crime we should punish them for that crime and send them back to the country they came from.

One thing that concerns me more than immigrants coming in is our jobs going out!  That’s something that should be on the top of everyone’s list, how are we going to create good jobs for you and I?

Subrogation Proclamation

July 18th, 2008

When will it end?

Thank you for your hard work, time, money, family, possessions, rights, claims, freedom, intentions, love, and free will. Now, let me introduce you to your middle man. This middle man is assigned to your case. He has a middle man that you can call at any time should you have any questions for your primary middle man (Me, the surrogate). If the middle man of your surrogate is unavailable, please call his assistant.

Thank you sir, may I have another?

Have you seen the movie “Idiocracy”? That movie is about the dumbing down of society. How many times can we delegate and outsource responsibility, caring, love, family, and national debt before it comes back to bite us in the *ss? It’s about time that we start taking responsibility for our actions, or otherwise continue to live with our heads in the sand. If we’re going to live with our heads in the sand, then please stop putting people in prison for using drugs for starts. I could care less if someone is a heroin addict if we are going to be owned by China. Are you kidding me? Do you really think that I’m so stupid that I can not even think on semi-conscious level for myself? What’s unfortunate is that a lot of us can not think for ourselves. We’ve been taught by society, family, friends, and everyone we come in contact with that this is the right way to think and live. I give respect to those of you that can think for yourselves and can see the truth. Consider yourselves truly blessed. One thing that’s great about this country we live in is that even though our government and corporations try to pump tons of nonsense and propaganda down our throats, we still have mechanisms in place that give us many opportunities to think for ourselves (thanks to our forefathers).

Think outside the box. Imagine yourself on an island with a few hundred people and yourself as the leader. What kind of society are you going to create? What knowledge are you going to allow the people to have? What rules are you going to ask them to abide by?

What matters the most to you and how are you going to improve your current situation and the society you live in? It takes guts to go against the grain so do what you can to make this country a better place to live for yourself and your children. Vote, take action, think outside the box, and change the world.
